Andrew Reynolds Wins Business Event of the Year Award

Andrew Reynolds record breaking Entrepreneurs Bootcamp at the 02 arena won a prestigious Silver award for the Business Event of the Year.

The 2010 Visit London awards were presented to winners during a Star studded ceremony held at the unusual venue, the Bloomsbury Big Top.

Andrew Reynolds, MD of Bookingline Plc and Author of the Cash on Demand System received the award alongside Rick Stainton, MD of the production company, Smyle Events. The Silver Award was presented by Dame Kelly Holmes.

Andrew Reynolds said how receiving the award was a very great honour, especially given the Big Business' events they were up against for the award. He went on to say, "For our Entrepreneurs Bootcamp event to be recognized within the UK conference and events industry as one of the top two Business Events in London is great recognition. The event was a huge success and praise has to go to the team at Smyle Events who managed all the production aspects of bringing our vision for the potential of this massive event to the stage at the 02 Arena."

Rick Stainton of Smyle Events explained how they were bowled over because so many of the attendees of the Entrepreneurs Bootcamp had gone online at C&IT and voted for the event. And how hundreds of attendees had left comments written from the heart about what a massive impact the Bootcamp event had on them.

The Entrepreneurs Bootcamp at London's 02 Arena was attended by a record breaking 8,000 delegates, despite this being the first major seminar event to be held at the 02. The event also handed over 702,000 for the children's charity, Make a Wish Foundation' because Andrew Reynolds donated his own Bentley Continental GT car as a prize to raise the money.

The competition for the awards was strong and finalists included many well-known figures. The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson won an award for his launch of London's new ICC at the Excel Centre. Other business winners included Peugeot for their RCZ launch and BT Wholesale SHINE.

The 2010 Visit London awards also recognized people in the entertainment industry and Aleisha Dixon was presented with the Sound of London Award and Twiggy with an Outstanding Achievement Award.

To add to the glittering occasion, Aleisha Dixon sang and also Mica Paris provided an impromptu performance with the London Community Gospel Choir.
